Sue's Summer Term Update
Some
of the things I've been doing this term:
- Teaching
Sessions with children from the Foundation Stage to KS2 in their
own school grounds.
- Staff
training - twilight sessions and INSET days.
- Writing
of reports and verbal advice on managing ponds, developing and maturing
meadows, and other wildlife habitats.
- From
the Plot to the Plate -
giving advice on which edible plants to grow, how and where to grow
them.
- Planning
for a sensory garden - the use of herbs and other sensory plants.
- Liasing
with a Landscape Artist to help plan for outcomes which will support
practical environmental education in the school grounds.
- Supporting
bids for funding and grant applications.
