Sue's Summer Term Update

Some of the things I've been doing this term:

  • Teaching Sessions with children from the Foundation Stage to KS2 in their own school grounds.
  • Staff training - twilight sessions and INSET days.
  • Writing of reports and verbal advice on managing ponds, developing and maturing meadows, and other wildlife habitats.
  • From the Plot to the Plate - giving advice on which edible plants to grow, how and where to grow them.
  • Planning for a sensory garden - the use of herbs and other sensory plants.
  • Liasing with a Landscape Artist to help plan for outcomes which will support practical environmental education in the school grounds.
  • Supporting bids for funding and grant applications.
