An Autumn Activity: How food is produced, sourced and impacts on our health and the environment will form the basis of the year, which aims to involve all children and young people in schools across the country. From the Plot to the Plate: Allow pupils to learn through the cycle of planting, growing, harvesting, eating and composting their own fruit and vegetables. Can be incorporated into a number of different subjects, including science, maths and geography. Composting for Schools: A simple, environmentally-friendly way to introduce the use of school grounds into curricular activities such as science and numeracy. |
